Made for beginners and early stage life drawers looking for guidance, Intro to Online Life Drawing is our original mini-course—a friendly and non judgmental class is designed to equip members with an introductory toolkit they can use when approaching poses in the context of online life drawing groups.
In the space of two hours, tutor Ann Mackowski, founder of Soho Life Drawing, will cover a wide breadth of practical introductions and advice for life drawing through fun follow along drawing exercises and informative slides including
--Proportion
--Drafting
--Gesture
and
--Anatomy
You'll also learn a little bit of art history in the process.
Ann will be explaining each step with simple online draw-along instructions which will show you exactly how to view the figure like an artist. All that's needed from you is a pencil and paper.
This class is part of Soho Life Drawing’s mini-class series designed to give artists of all levels—including complete beginners—a leg up in approaching life drawing. Choosing from a variety of poses and examples from contemporary art and art history, these comprehensive classes allow students to get a more in depth understanding of life drawing as well as one-on-one critiques for those who wish—who can send Ann a photo of one of their works from class for an additional visual mark-up.
