A Scenic Walk/Hike on Governors Island: A Hidden Gem!

Let’s experience and explore the beauty of Governors Island!

This scenic walk/hike will take you through the island’s historic landmarks, stunning waterfront views, forts, art installations with a great selection of local food vendors/outdoor dining options at the end of our walk/hike.

The journey begins with a short ferry ride from Governors Island Ferry Building at 10:15 am.

Upon arrival, we will begin our walk/hike through a network of trails to explore the island’s unique landscapes. Let’s escape the City and enjoy a leisurely walk/hike that offers a blend of adventure, nature and light exercise.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes/sneakers and clothing. Please bring water, snacks and sunscreen.

Meeting point: Governors Island Ferry Building/Battery Maritime located at 10 South Street in Manhattan at 10:15 am. We will meet indoors at the reservation desk. The ferry departs at 10:30 am. I have made the reservation, and have 10 tickets. The tickets are FREE! Please be on time so that we can all board the ferry together.

After the hike/walk, there will be food trucks with a variety of cuisines, along with an outdoor picnic area to enjoy food and beverages.

We will be returning on the 2:30 pm ferry back to Manhattan.
