North Eastern State Trail Bikepacking Trip (Alpena to Cheboygan)

Cost: $15 per person for camping(if paid via zelle/cash/check); $20 if paid via Meetup.

Trail surface: crushed stone rail to trail
Total mileage for trip: 84 miles

Friday, June 13: Meet Southern Trailhead, then drive cars to the end point in Cheboygan about 1 ½ hours (3 hours round trip), then return to the Southern trailhead in Alpena. Riding bikes with all your gear from Alpena to Metz. Camp overnight at Metz Fire Trailside Historical Park. My plan is to stop along the way and see sights. Days mileage 22.2 miles

Saturday, June 7: Ride our bikes from Metz to Onaway State Park on campsite # 6 which is on the lake. Again, I plan on stopping to see sights along the way. Days mileage 30.9 miles

Sunday, June 8: Ride from Onaway State Park to Cheboygan where cars are parked. Daily mileage 30.9 miles
