🎤 Moderator: Jens Herrmann, Cyber Security Manager @Solaris
After getting his Diploma in computer science and law Jens has worked for Internet start-ups in various industries like Gaming, Advertisement, and Finance at the intersection between software development and system operations. He is with Solaris since the early beginnings in different roles including Platform, SRE, and Digital Assets. Currently he works as Engineering Manager for the Cyber Security Team.

🗣Speaker #1: Prathibha Nadig, Security Engineering Manager @Solaris
Prathibha is an experienced Cyber Security Manager at Solaris, with over 15 years of total work experience. She is working with talented team of engineers across Berlin and India, and has made significant contributions to Solaris since joining over 6 months ago. After completing her degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Prathibha began her career as a Mainframe Developer at a leading Indian MNC. She quickly transitioned to software testing and then to Cyber Security, where she has since established herself as a respected expert in the field. Prathibha is passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest developments in technology, and has a deep understanding of the need for robust security measures, particularly in the Banking and Finance domains. Her impressive work history includes 8+ years with a leading US Bank and a Payment Gateway company, where she played a pivotal role in strengthening their Cyber Security frameworks.

🗣Speaker #2: Soraya Hausl, Chief Data Scientist / Co-Founder @Carra
Soraya Hausl is Chief Data Scientist and Cofounder of Carra, a digital platform for personalised textured (curly) hair care where she focuses on creating the data engine to power innovation in the textured hair ecosystem. She is passionate about building data products that improve customer experience and has previously led the fashion recommendation team at ASOS.com and worked on optimizing search ranking at Booking.com. Soraya obtained a MSc degree in Machine Learning from the University College London (UCL) and has a background in strategy consulting.

🗣Speaker #3: Carmen Berros, Senior Backend Engineer @Solaris
Carmen has more than 20 years of experience. She has worked 13 years in Madrid, Spain and 10 in Berlin. After studying Software Engineering in the University, she started working in IBM projects and then in MAPFRE, the biggest insurance company in Spain, as IBM WebSphere Application Server administrator. Then she became manager of the team. She decided to switch career paths and move to Berlin and work as a Software Engineer. Shortly after moving started working in Ruby as a freelancer and also an employee in several startups. Now she is Senior Backend Engineer in Solaris. She has worked in Elixir with the Lending Unit and now she is working in Dunning and Collections with Kotlin and Serverless technologies.
