In this case, it looks like the future is going to suck… According to forecasts (solarpunk), we’ll be having 104°F degree weather on Tuesday.

Had this group already been established, we’d figure something out - convert the heat to ice or something like that, but given that this was going to be the first-ever event, I’m not pushing it.

On the bright side, looks like this global warming thing isn’t going away, so maybe next year! Seriously though, this unusually hot weather really does demonstrate how crucially we need a group like this.

I’ll work on getting the next event planned, you tell your friends about solarpunk, and please message me if you have any ideas, questions, or whatever.

What if the future didn’t suck?

Show up any time before sunset on this longest day of the year for an evening picnic full of solarpunk ideas, questions, people, and fun! ☀️

This will be a snack, drink, and conversation-friendly opportunity to meet and discuss all things solarpunk! What is solarpunk? What does a solarpunk STL look like? How do we get there? What kind of events should Solarpunk STL host? What if the future didn't suck!

BYOSDB - Bring your own snacks, drinks, and blanket. Bug spray might be a good idea too. I'll bring extras of each. 🧺

Have a solarpunk contraption for keeping mosquitos away? Bring it. Art? We need it. Or any other solarpunk thing, book, or idea you want to share. It’s a picnic, it’s a show and tell, it’s what we make it!

The Tuesday night farmer’s market will also be happening in the park less than a mile away. It goes from 4 pm till Sunset.
