Advancement in a future model for the Internet that decentralizes authority and redistributes it to people by giving them increased control over who with and how their personal data is shared; provides a range of new commercial opportunities, where currently viable business models are being tested. The Solid Project is the driver for this advancement of web standards.

November's event is very exciting for two huge reasons!
Firstly, we give a warm welcome to some special European visitors from Belgium! The Flemish government are a global leader in the development of a data economy with their partnership with Inrupt, and companies like Konsolidate and Digita are pioneers in the Solid space, with SolidLab nurturing an ecosystem of companies and organisations wanting to adopt or develop with Solid Pods.

Lastly, we welcome back BBC R&D to showcase their hot-off-the-press launch of BBC Together + Data Pod. They did hint at something big in their pipeline at our own launch event back in April - it's finally here!
