Volunteer Day in Encino

Are you ready to make a difference for our unhoused neighbors in Encino?
Join Solidangle LA and Better Angels for a volunteer event where we’ll provide hot meals, basic supplies, and community support for unhoused guests, working hand-in-hand with local service providers to create a more welcoming and dignified experience for all.

✨ Why This Matters
Everyone deserves dignity, care, and community. When we show up with food, supplies, and kindness, we help meet urgent needs and build a stronger, safer Los Angeles—one neighbor at a time.

👕 What to Wear
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. If you’ve got a Better Angels T-shirt, wear it with pride!
If you're working in the kitchen and have long hair (12 inches or more), please tie it up.
🧰 What’s Provided
All necessary tools, gloves, kitchen supplies, and setup materials will be provided on site.
👶 Who Can Volunteer?
All ages welcome! Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

🛠 What You’ll Do

• Check in with the Better Angels team (look for light blue T-shirts and our welcome sign)
• Get your T-shirt (if needed) and review the day's plan
• Receive instructions and any tools or supplies needed
• Enjoy eating a delicious lunch with us!
• After your shift, connect with the onsite coordinator and explore other ways to get involved
• A short post-event survey will be sent out to collect feedback

🙋 Volunteer Roles Include:

• Tables and chairs setup
• Charging station setup
• Dining hall prep (coffee, water, lemonade)
• Decor setup
• Lunch prep/cook
• Servers (food and drinks)
• Kitchen supply organizer / dishwasher
• Restroom attendant / cleanup
• Guest greeter and counter
• Guest belongings attendant
• Hygiene distributor
• Activity/game coordinator
• Documentarian (photos of volunteers and activities—guest dignity is always top priority)

Organizers will do their best to match you with something meaningful and fun!
