Are you ready to make a difference in Lancaster, serving our unhoused neighbors?
Join Solidangle LA and Better Angels for our second fun community event in partnership with Salvation Army - Lancaster! We’ll be supporting their ongoing operations and helping expand services by creating a full Resource Day for unhoused neighbors in the area—with hot meals, supplies, and local service vendors.

✨ Why This Matters
Salvation Army Lancaster has been a pillar in the community, offering meals through their food bank. Now, they’re working with Better Angels to expand support services—and that’s where you come in. With your help, we’ll make this Resource Day welcoming, organized, and meaningful for guests.
When we care for those living outside, we strengthen the whole community.

👕 What to Wear

• Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
• Closed-toe shoes
• Hair tied back if it’s longer than 12 inches (especially for kitchen roles)
• Better Angels T-shirts encouraged if you’ve volunteered before!

🧰 What’s Provided
All setup tools, kitchen supplies, gloves, and materials will be provided.
👶 Who Can Volunteer?
All ages are welcome! Volunteers under 14 should participate with a parent or guardian.

🛠 What You’ll Do

• Check in with the Better Angels team (look for light blue shirts and signs)
• Grab a shirt if needed and review your role
• Help set up, serve, cook, guide guests, or assist with cleanup
• Afterward, share your feedback with our onsite coordinator and explore future volunteer opportunities
• You’ll also receive a quick follow-up survey

🙋 Volunteer Roles Include:

• Tables and chairs setup
• Charging station and decor setup
• Coffee, water, lemonade station (dining hall prep)
• Servers (food and drinks)
• Guest greeter and counter
• Guest belongings attendant
• Hygiene distributor
• Activity/game coordinator
• Event photographer (focus on volunteers—guest dignity always comes first)
  Roles may be adjusted to meet needs, but we’ll make sure it fits you!
