Ceramic Surface Decoration - 5 WEEK COURSE

Join us in our Ceramic Studio to learn various ceramic surface decoration techniques. From carving to slip trailing, wax resist and layering, we'll cover the basics of decorating your ceramic work in your own style. This is a 5 WEEK COURSE meeting every Monday from 6:30pm to 9pm, 10/20 - 11/17. Please do not sign up if you can't make it to all the classes, as each session will build upon the previous.
Beginner ceramic ability is highly recommended. First session will be form building, either on the wheel or hand building. Whatever vessel you create will be the basis for decoration techniques throughout the rest of the course. The piece you create will be fired by the instructor, so you'll go home with a fully functional ceramic piece of your own making.
If you have your own ceramic tools, please bring them along. Basics will be provided, but some sharing of specialty tools may be required. Come wearing clothes you can get dirty, or bring along an apron!
All supplies needed will be provided. A $20 donation would be greatly appreciated to cover the cost of materials.
