July Meetup Event - Whitnall Beer Garden, Franklin

Details
Join us for our Solo Travelers of WI July Meetup at the Whitnall Beer Garden! Ok, so we have something to admit - Whitnall Beer Garden isn't actually in Whitnall Park, it's actually in Root River Parkway, but with over 600 acres of connected greenway, the beer garden is an ideal spot to start, or finish, a day out in Milwaukee County's largest park.
Whitnall Park, and the beer garden, is named for Charles Whitnall, a member of the Milwaukee County Park Commission from 1907 to 1941, and the man credited for the creation of the 'emerald necklace' of parkways. Today the park is home to botanical gardens, a nature center, a championship golf course, miles of trails, multiple picnic sites and is one of the top locations for birding and wildlife watching.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase on your own (cash, credit and debit accepted) or choose to bring your own picnic or order from a local restaurant. Cider, gluten-free options, and non-alcoholic beverages are available per the website.
We will not have reserved seating for this event. We will do our best to grab a picnic table and will have a telescoping flagpole with world flags as well as our Welcome Solo Travelers sign so you can find us. We suggest you bring your own lawn chair just in case.
Let's get out and enjoy a summer evening discussing everything travel! We hope you can join us!
