This time, SoloCreatives is coming to a real old prison in Somerset — Shepton Mallet Prison — to meet the characters who live behind the bars.

Three characters. Three completely different stories. One unforgettable location.

🖤 THE CLASSICAL PRISONER

She has been here for years and knows every corner of the prison.

No one knows exactly what brought her here — but everyone seems to be afraid of her, even the guards.

She doesn't make friends. She gets what she wants.

And now she has a plan to escape.

🤪 THE MANIAC

She is the prison's most chaotic character — a classical crazy maniac who ended up behind bars after hundreds of completely insane misadventures.

The whole prison is standing on its head because of her.

She is unpredictable, ridiculous and definitely not someone you want to leave alone with the keys. 😈

👠 THE FASHION MODEL

She doesn't actually belong in prison.

She has arrived to promote a high-fashion brand, looking completely untouchable and totally out of place among the prisoners.

But will the people behind the bars allow her to walk around so freely?

📸 We will bring all three characters to life inside Shepton Mallet Prison.

This incredible historic location is full of cinematic spots — original prison cells, Victorian wings, long dramatic corridors, old staircases, exercise yards and imposing stone walls.

It looks like something straight out of a classic prison movie.

The prison has also been used as a filming location for productions including Paddington 2, Wicked Little Letters, Des, Grantchester, Wasteman and Young Sherlock.

We will explore different parts of the prison, shooting around the cells, corridors, stairs, outside areas and the large exercise yard.

The prison will remain open to other visitors during our shoot, so we will work around the public rather than having the location closed exclusively for us. But the prison is huge, with plenty of different areas to explore, so there should be lots of opportunities to create something special.
