Equinox in Space

Every September Equinox we celebrate Gregory Benford Day because Gregory Benford's Beyond Infinity describes a future so rich with life that there are a rich diversity of organisms that make their living in space itself.

We celebrate with a 'zero Gee' dinner. We eat off of placemats covered by velcro tabs. Every food pack and every piece of cutlery also has a velcro tab on it. We keep all of our food 'velcroed down' so that it doesn't 'float away'.

After dinner each member who so desires delivers a presentation on some cultural or technical advance that leads toward theDestiny.
