Yay Life Triathlon

This will be a short distance triathlon to have fun and celebrate the Epic of Evolution from its beginings in the sea (swimming and/or wading) through its adventures on land (running) and its new experiments with technology (bicyling, roller blading, skateboarding, riding in a stroller). We will keep the distances really short so that almost everyone can take part; 100 meters swimming, 400 meters running, or walking and 1500 meters on wheels.

I have chosen a public swimming pool for the swim and a time which is scheduled as a lane swim, this means that only youth and adults will be able to take part but that we will be able to do the swim without disturbing people who are playing in the pool. I made this choice because nobody with young children signed up. The price of admission to the pool will be $4.30 for adults and $1.90 for youth payable directly to the pool. There is no charge for the triathlon itself but for taking part you get both a participation medal (while supplies last) and a T-shirt (subject to availability of your size).
