The Art of Noticing: A Somatic & Creative Collage Workshop
Details
What happens when we create from what we notice, rather than from an idea of what we should make?
In this online workshop, we'll create an intuitive collage inspired by our own bodies, surroundings and everyday observations.
Before we start creating, we'll explore two simple practices that will become the starting point for our collage:
Body awareness: a short somatic exercise to slow down and notice what is happening within us.
The art of noticing: a playful exploration of our immediate surroundings, paying attention to details, colors, textures, objects and things we might normally overlook.
From there, we'll bring these observations into a guided intuitive collage practice.
Rather than starting with a concept or trying to make something beautiful, we'll use collage as a way to explore, respond and discover.
You'll receive a prompt to guide the process, but there is no right or wrong way to create.
We'll finish with a short reflection and some space for optional sharing.
No previous experience with collage, somatics or any other creative practice is needed.
This workshop is for anyone who feels curious about creativity, presence, and finding new ways of connecting with themselves and the world around them.
What you'll need
