Blackdown Hills - Staple Hill 6 mile circular (5/10 difficulty)

Details
A great morning walk to get you going and still leaving much of your Saturday free. The Blackdowns AONB may be lesser known than Exmoor or the Quantocks, but no less beautiful to explore. Other than a couple of short stretches across farmer's fields, this whole route is on wide lanes or paths making it ideal for socialising as much as walking. Mostly gentle drops and climbs hence 5/10.
Starting at the car park in the woods, we drop down along tracks and lanes to the rolling fields below, before heading across some single track paths to eventually join the historic Herepath back up through extensive woodlands, with a short detour to the viewpoint on a clear day.
We'll stop before the climb back up through the woods and make other stops as needed, getting back to the car park in around 2 hours.
Bring a drink and whatever snacks you need and be prepared for sunshine or rain. The walk will go ahead unless visibility is really poor or there is persistent rain - so keep an eye out for updates.
Like our previous walk this location is not great for public transport, although reasonably close to Taunton, so please comment if you'd like to see if anyone can offer you a lift.
