IMPORTANT INFO:
- This is a MODERATE HIKE and would suit regular walkers or hikers.
- This hike requires a very early start - you will need to leave Somerset West by 05h50 at the latest to make it there by 7am.

Thanks to our member Dwayne, join us for a stunning morning hike along the Palmiet River, one of the Western Cape’s most beautiful natural spots. This scenic trail winds through fynbos and along river pools — with time for a refreshing swim along the way 💦
Hike details:

• 🕖 Start time: 7:00am sharp
• ⏱️ Duration: ± 2.5 hours (including swim stops)
• 🚗 Travel: About a 1-hour drive from Somerset West
  → If you’re driving, you’ll need to leave at 05h50 AT THE LATEST as it takes 1hour 10 minutes to get there from Somerset West.
• 🥾 Level: Moderate, suitable for regular walkers
• 🏊 Bonus: River swim (weather permitting!)
• Cost: R100 payable in advance (see above) which includes your permit fee as well as a small Meetup fee.

What to bring:

• Comfortable hiking shoes
• Swimwear & small towel
• Water & snacks
• Sunscreen & hat
• Dry bag (optional but useful)
