Jonathan Dickinson State Park Hike to Kitching Creek Campsite
Join us for an invigorating 6-mile round-trip hike to Kitching Creek Campsite in the beautiful Jonathan Dickinson State Park! This trail adventure offers a chance to immerse yourself in Florida’s natural beauty, with diverse landscapes and wildlife along the way.
There is a park wntrancw fee $4-$6 depends on if you arrive alone or are carpooling
Details:
• Distance: Approximately 6 miles round trip
• Location: Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Hobe Sound, FL
• Difficulty: Moderate, suitable for hikers with some experience
• Meeting Point: kitchen Creek Pavilliln See map pin
• Time: 8 AM
What to Bring:
• Water: At least 1 liter (it’s going to be hot!)
• Snacks: Energy bars, trail mix, or other portable snacks recommended
• Footwear: Sturdy, closed-toe hiking shoes or boots (trail is uneven in spots)
• Other: Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and bug spray for comfort
Important Notes:
• Expect hot and humid conditions—stay hydrated and pace yourself.
• The trail is well-marked but proper footwear is essential for safety and comfort.
• We’ll take breaks as needed and enjoy the scenic Kitching Creek Campsite before heading back.
