Thanks so much to everyone who volunteered! We're happy to announce the agenda for the meeting

We have three speakers for the session.

Introduction to Shiny in R
Jaynal Abedin
Shiny is an open source R package to develop web applications straight from R. It is a very easy way to interact with, analyse and communicate results. Though this is a very easy way to build an application, you might wonder where to start and how things work. In this short session we will show how to build your very first shiny apps.
If you wish to follow along with the hands-on examples, please bring a laptop.

In this talk Dr Ronan O’Malley - Senior Data Scientist with Wood, will share some experiences of developing in Shiny, give an overview of processes, libraries and technologies used and demo some applications.

The use of Shiny in the Fisheries Informatics Project
Dr Deirdre Wall
The aim of the Fisheries Informatics project is to efficiently integrate and utilise the ever increasing sources of fisheries related data. This is to help improve decision making, governance and sustainability in the fishing sector. I hope to demo the 2 shiny apps developed so far which are the Stockbook and the Species dashboard.
