• Vocal melodies vs. Instrumental melodies:
• How lyrics and vocal timbre allow for more repetition
• Week 2 – Bass
• Bass Lines vs. Bass Grooves (is there a difference?)
• Listening for and hearing the bass
• Different styles of bass parts + how they function
• Week 3 – Chords/Harmony
• Major
• Minor
• Different ways of talking about chords
• Week 4 – Popular Musical Forms
