Summary:
The San Francisco Poster Syndicate will give a public lecture on political art and activism, describing their history, organizing style and process. This wide ranging discussion will present an overview of the group's activities from the perspectives of five participants within the Poster Syndicate. Each of the presenters will weave together the activities of Poster Syndicate through the lens of their own focus on art and politics; Union organizing, public art, homeless rights, public education and climate activism. How can political art be a useful tool in this moment of catastrophe? Audience Q & A to follow after the lecture.
