# Free Community Hearts Make-In

######

A free make- in inviting community connection, using nature’s abundance to craft hearts and lift the collective spirit. You will learn to bend tender yellow willow into hearts. Some the hearts we make will be planted around the Plaza and some you can put in your neighborhoods. The idea is to speed a heartfelt message around Sonoma. The facilitators, Teddy and Isa have a passion for creating beauty from botanical materials, sharing their skills and contributing to community. Come play cupid!

The botanical material used is: Yellow willow (Salix lutea) serves as a breathtaking reminder of nature’s resilience and interconnectedness. Its ecological contributions, esthetic charm, and practical uses enrich our environments, making it more vital than ever to appreciate and protect this splendid species. Next time you catch a glimpse of the elegant yellow willow swaying in the wind, take a moment to admire not just its beauty, but the significant role it plays within the tapestry of our ecosystems.

Bring your garden gloves. Pruning shears if you have them.
