What we’re about
Welcome to our group! This group allows you to join other singles 50 years of age and older, interested in connecting with others in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.
We are all about getting together to meet new friends and connect with those we already know. Remember we were all new at one time so we know the feeling of walking into someplace where everyone knows each other except for you. We are a very welcoming and friendly group.
We are about gathering with others explore all that northern California has to offer. Our members are "up for" and "down with" almost anything that's fun and easy to access, at places that welcome 2 to 30. Lately though it has been Happy Hours in Petaluma on Wednesdays and Santa Rosa or thereabouts on Fridays. Hopefully we will be getting back to some other fun things again.
Don't drink? Don't worry...there are many in our group that don't drink.
Most of all, we're about helping YOU connect with others in friendship and fun!
About Membership:
The annual dues are $10/year. There is a 60 day free trial period. We recommend you attend a couple of events during that time in order to determine if you want to remain in the group before having to pay the dues.
You can pay through Meetup--or via cash at one of the events (paid directly to Janice, the organizer). Dues help to cover our organization's fees to the national Meetup-dot-com organization.
About Attending Gatherings:
To RSVP: Just click on the event title and then click "Yes" to RSVP. (Please do not RSVP if you're not sure you can make it.)
Can't attend after all? Just return to the site and change your RSVP to "No." (Then, accept heart-felt thanks from the event Organizer for helping us to keep RSVPs realistic. No one wants to be in charge of saving 20 seats only to have 10 people show up.)
Is there an event charge? Nope. We generally DON'T CHARGE for our events, unless there's a special requirement from the venue. We do, of course, expect you to pay your own way for any food or drinks you consume. (Please bring cash to make paying the bill easier.)
