*UPDATES
This is a super quick and easy outing—about a 30-40 minute walk round trip, so perfect for a relaxed day outdoors! The waterfall at Buck Gulch Falls is currently a gentle flow (not the big rush you might’ve seen in photos), but still a nice spot to check out. About half the trail is shaded, while the other half gets some sun, so dress accordingly. Also, there were quite a few bugs last time—bug spray or light layers are definitely a good idea!
The trail itself is about 1.2 miles round trip—short, scenic, and beginner-friendly. There are additional trails nearby for more experienced hikers, but we’ll be sticking to the easy route for this outing.
If anyone’s up for it afterward, I’d love to hang out a bit longer—maybe grab a coffee together! I can also bring along the board game Azul if there’s interest 😊
Make sure you bring your own drinking water. There are no restroom facilities, either. Closest restroom is the Nugget market about 7 minute drive away . On-leash dogs are welcome on the trail.

I am cross posting this event with other meetup groups so RSVPs on here might not reflect actual number of attendees.

To get to the Buck Gulch Falls, take Highway 101 to the Ignacio Boulevard exit and head west on Ignacio Boulevard. Turn left onto Fairway Drive and follow it until you reach the end of the road. Parking is along the road, and there's plenty of it, unlike other Marin waterfall hot-spots like Cascade Falls in Fairfax. The trail is part of the Marin County Parks' Ignacio Valley Preserve.

Please arrive on time as we will begin the hike right away.
