This week, many of our friends and community members are joyfully celebrating the Astro-Solar New Year — known as Avurudu in Sinhala, Songkran in Thai, and Choul Chnam Thmey in Khmer. It’s a time of renewal, reflection, and honoring our elders and ancestors. Here at the monastery, spring is in the air, and we invite you to join in the celebration!
Come gather with us for a joyful springtime event among old and new friends at Dhammadharini Monastery.

### ✨ What to Expect:

• A warm welcome starting at 10:00 AM
• Offering of the meal to the Bhikkhuni Sangha at 11:00 AM
• Followed by New Year celebration with the community

You're invited to bring a dish to share for the communal meal.

Can't make it on the 12th?
We welcome visitors throughout the New Year week (April 8–16). You’re welcome to stop by, bring a dish or useful supplies, bathe the outdoor Buddha images, and enjoy a peaceful visit with the monastics.
Note: If you're bringing food, please arrive before 11:00 AM when the meal is offered.
