Work can be better than this.
Many organisations are full of capable, well-intentioned people who still find themselves stuck in systems that make work harder than it needs to be — slow decision-making, overloaded teams, and change initiatives that create more noise than value. This community exists for leaders who want to change that.
We explore how to achieve Better Value Sooner Safer Happier outcomes, improving outcomes and creating a more humane world of work, for our people and the environment.
Regularly covering topics on organising the work (strategy, governance, funding, OKRs & KPIs, portfolio mng), organising the people (org design, team structure, roles, capabilities, accountabilities) and how we behave (culture, values, leadership)
### Who this is for
This group is for leaders at any level, in any function, who want to influence how work gets done.
We regularly welcome people from all over the organisation, product, operations, HR, finance, risk, marketing, customer services, and public sector roles and digital leaders.
If you are trying to connect customer value, outcomes, and day-to-day delivery, you’ll find many of the conversations relevant.
What matters is not your job title, but your curiosity for improving ways of working and delivering better outcomes for customers, colleagues, citizens, or stakeholders.
If you are trying to move away from rigid, one-size-fits-all approaches and towards ways of working that fit your context, you will feel at home here.
### What happens at our meetups
We meet regularly online, and occasionally in person, across UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa time zones. Sessions are held in English.
These are not passive webinars. They are working conversations where people share real experiences, including what worked, what did not, and what they are still figuring out.
Typical sessions include:
- Stories from organisations experimenting with better ways of working
- Discussion of patterns and anti-patterns
- Space to explore challenges you are facing in your own context
The aim is practical learning, mutual support, and thoughtful challenge.
### Our perspective
Too many organisations are still self-inflicting prescriptive practices that ignore context and reduce people to roles and processes. That is not agility.
The Better Value Sooner Safer Happier patterns and anti-patterns offer a different lens — one that focuses on outcomes, learning, flow, and the human side of work. We are interested in modernising systems of work in ways that are effective, responsible, and sustainable.
We care about doing the right thing by people in organisations, by customers and citizens, and by the wider social and environmental systems we are part of.
### How to take part
The community is free to join. The only expectation is that you participate with a growth mindset — willing to share experiences, listen to others, and learn together.
