In our ever-busier working lives, we often need to gather good information fast, while building deeper relationships with those we deal with.

What if there was a straightforward way of skipping the small talk and cutting to the chase - while still making people feel deeply heard and understood?

In this session you’ll experience and experiment with a precision inquiry methodology that can do all of that, called Clean Language.

Please note this will be an active, engaging session, not a webinar - show up ready to be heard, seen and recorded.

Learning outcomes

  • Experience how a subtle change in the questions you ask can improve the results of your conversations
  • Try out a little-known way to make someone quickly feel heard and understood - without any need for small talk
  • Identify opportunities to apply these ideas in your own work and life.

Speakers

Judy Rees is the co-author of the bestselling book Clean Language: Revealing Metaphors and Opening Minds and has taught the subject globally for more than 15 years. As a former news journalist, she’s excited by the impact of Clean Language approaches in interviews of all kinds. She also uses aspects of the approach in group facilitation, in coaching, and in designing online events and training.

Steve McCann had an interesting international career working with people in complex and hostile parts of the world before becoming deeply involved in creating practical applications for Clean Language within organisations.
