Join me on this forecasted-to-be perfect hiking weather day in Wunderlich County Park. Heat wave next week but temperatures to drop from the 80s to the 60s next Friday. Sunny with scattered clouds.

Wunderlich Park is a hillside area of redwood forest, open meadows, beautiful oaks and madrones and a wonderful system of trails. This area was donated to the County by Martin Wunderlich. It contains what was once the Folger family ranch, and the estate stable and surrounding buildings have been restored to provide a historic treasure to the community.

This will be a loop combining Bear Gulch, Skyline and Alambique
**Trails. Trails run along gulches and creeks, traverse hillsides and lead to some breathtaking views all with plenty of shade. The trails are well-maintained and well-marked. Keep an eye out for black-tailed deer, bobcats, coyotes, foxes, chickadees, and jays. The trailhead offers parking, restrooms, and access to the Carriage Room Museum. (for some maddening reason Meetup repeatedly adds two asterisks after this trail link which renders it meaningless. Copy and paste it in your search bar. Remove the trailing asterisks and then hit enter/return).
