About Us
Founded in 1921, Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement working together to transform the lives of women and girls. Our network of around 76,000 club members in 120 countries and territories works at a local, national and international level to educate, empower and enable opportunities for women and girls.
Soroptimist International of the East Valley (SIEV), formerly SI of Apache Junction, was started in Apache Junction in 1971. Since that time, over $1,000,000 has been raised to help local charities.
Clubs participate in the Dream Programs of Soroptimist to help women and girls achieve social and economic empowerment. These programs ensure women and girls have access to the education and training they need to reach their full potential and live their dreams. Soroptimist is committed to investing in programs that have a sustainable, measurable change for women and girls. Clubs also participate in local level projects working to end domestic violence and/or sex trafficking and mentoring women in various ways.
