3/22 Special Guest Andrew Harrod grew up in Austin and spent a good part of his childhood exploring and enjoying its creeks. A large amount of time spent in parks led him to eventually get a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences. Andrew joined the Capital Area Master Naturalists in 2019 and loves doing outreach things like talking at the library about amphibians and plants.

​During the pandemic he fell hard for native plants, continues to study them, and leads plant walks whenever he gets a chance. Andrew is a natural educator. After teaching for many years, he later became a classroom presenter for Texas Wildlife Association. He has experience managing volunteers on the Austin Wildland preserves and is currently working with volunteers to grow scouting in Round Rock..
