Details

Harlem Stop invites you to the last of our 2019 Weekend Walks outdoor event on Sunday, September 9th between 12 Noon and 6:30 pm. It is summer's end but we continue to celebrate community and the richness of Harlem's legacy and the Harlem Renaissance Centennial.

There will be lots of fun for family and kids, neighborhood resource information, several Harlem artisans will showcase their creative concepts and products, visual arts, and more.

A pop-up beer garden by Bierstrassse and the Grange Eatery in Hamilton Heights will provide the perfect draft beer and New Orleans inspired music to jazz up the afternoon.

On main stage however there will City College Jazz Ensemble led by Matthew Roker-Lynn, Swingin' Jazz by the Chris Johanssen Quartet, Swing dance instructions by Ailey alumn Samuel Coleman, sazzy salsa and mambo by Johnny Mambo & Friends, and the highlight of the afternoon's entertainment, jazz vocalist, the fabulous Charles Turner who has been gathering rave reviews in the jazz swing community! Come hear and experience each and every activity.. it will be great, neighborly, and free .. no better way to close out the summer!
