Writing with Secrets: A Soul Weavers Circle Event

Details
Start your week with a creative writing session before work!
We all carry secrets—some soft and sacred, others heavy and hidden. In this one-hour Soul Weavers Circle, we’ll explore the power of writing as a gentle way to approach the stories we’ve tucked away.
You don’t need to be a writer, artist, or spiritual seeker to attend—just bring your honest self.
Who This Is For:
Adults who are drawn to personal growth, writing, introspection, and authentic conversation. LGBTQ+ affirming and inclusive.
This writing session inspired by Lesléa Newman’s poem “Secret.” Together we’ll reflect on small joys, quiet pleasures, and the truths we carry within. You will be given a paper copy of the poem with prompts. After reading and reflecting on the poem, we will begin a writing session on the provided prompts. In the last few minutes, we will be able to share what we wrote but it is not required.
What to Bring:
- A notebook or journal
- Something to write with
Important Note:
💡 Please support our gracious hosts by purchasing a beverage or food item from the café before joining the group. It helps keep this space available for community use.
Location & Logistics:
We’ll meet at Starbucks (Silvernail & N Grandview, right off the I80) - 2730 N Grandview Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188 - Look for a person with a journal and a rainbow heart baseball cap!
