# Philosophy SoulSpace – Attachment Styles in Relationships

An Afternoon of Reflection, Sharing & Human Connection
Why do we love the way we do?
Why do some of us cling tightly, while others pull away?
Why do we sometimes fear what we most long for?
Psychology speaks of attachment styles: secure, anxious, avoidant, and fearful-avoidant.

Philosophy asks:
– Are these styles fate, or freedom?
– Can we truly change the patterns of our heart?
– What does it mean to love without fear?

In this SoulSpace gathering, we will enter both the science and the soul of attachment. Through story, silence, and sharing, we’ll explore how our earliest bonds shape the way we give and receive love—and how awareness can open us to deeper, freer relationships.

What the afternoon will include:
- A short introduction to attachment theory—seen through both psychology and philosophy
-A small guided mediation
- With questions everyone will be given space for their personal story, if they wish: how do I seek closeness, and how do I create distance?
- A warm, safe atmosphere—listening is as important as speaking

Who is it for?
For seekers of understanding.
For those curious about the patterns that repeat in their relationships.
For anyone who longs to reflect not only on how we attach, but on the larger question: what does it mean to love, and to be free?
Come with curiosity. And leave with a little bit more insight in your heart.

My belief
My belief is that other people's stories and intimate sharing puts us in a vulnerable place which starts a reflection process inside each one of us.

The Location
The location is a lovely villa & garden at Montebello, Oslo, Noreveien 18 - if the weather permits, we will sit on blankets, and share warm stories. If the weather gods are not willing, we will go inside into my apartment.

Please take notice! Entrance from the General Kroghs vei.

There are many places in Oslo for conversations, debates, and exchanging opinions. But these circles are meant to be something different:
- A space to share from the heart and listen without interruptions or advice.
- A room for silence, honesty, and presence.
- An opportunity to experience the calm and closeness that arise when we are simply allowed to be ourselves.

From now on, both Heartspace and Soulspace will focus more on sharing and listening, and less on discussion. There will be:
- A short guided meditation to help us arrive in our bodies.
- A theme for each gathering – important as a guiding post – but everyone is free to share whatever feels true in the moment (it doesn’t need to be “on topic”).
- Space for words, but also space for silence.
- Time for informal tea, discussion, and connection after the circle.

There’s no pressure to perform or to have “the right ideas” – you share only what you feel like sharing, and otherwise, we listen together.

I hope you will find time, and an open heart to come and reflect with me on this topic.

Warm greetings
Patricia Kraft

About the host
My name is Patricia Kraft, and it truly warms my heart to invite you into this group. I’m a film director and visual storyteller, but most of all, I’m simply a human being who loves deep conversations about what it means to be alive, to care, and to connect. For more than 15 years I’ve also taught Norwegian, guiding people through the language and, just as often, into the questions of our shared humanity.
