Sound Affects is a night of talks about music and subcultures, how sound affects us and how music changes the world. Hearing from writers, musicians, artists, superfans, photographers, filmmakers and everyday music lovers, we dive into personal stories, esoteric bands, fan communities, punk, pop, social change and much more. It's organised and hosted by journalist and documentary filmmaker Jak Hutchcraft.
Guest speakers:

Verb T - After three decades of musical escapades as both a solo hip hop artist and 1/4 of The Four Owls, Verb T has just released his ambitious offering to date in the shape of ‘To Love A Phantom’. In it he explores his love for the language of cinema, and blurs the everyday with the supernatural. A deeply emotive, visceral and visual listen, which features a supporting cast of artists from across the UK underground. Verb T will be talking to us about 'To Love A Phantom', his craft and his creative process.

Ben Bailey - Bassist in underground DIY psych punk freakout band Dog of Man. He will delivering a talk on (arguably) the most important two artists of the 20th century. Lennon & McCartney? Chas ‘n Dave? Daphne & Celeste? Come along to find out!
