Spring Boot, Kotlin, Kofu and Coroutines | Bootiful CQRS & Event So...

Details
This is the replanned version of the meetup we've had to cancel due to the terrorist attack on Utrecht. A big thank you to our speakers and the venue for making themselves available so soon to still make this event happen!
On the 3rd of June 2019, Sourcelabs will host another awesome meetup with talks from top speakers Sébastien Deleuze (Pivotal) and Allard Buijze (AxonIQ).

Spring Boot with Kofu and Coroutines
by Sébastien Deleuze, Pivotal
During this talk, I will introduce the upcoming official Spring Coroutines APIs (for Framework, Boot, Data) as well as Kofu, the Kotlin DSL currently incubated in Spring Fu project (https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-fu), which allows to configure Spring Boot in a more explicit and efficient way.
I will show how to use them in a live coding by leveraging the new Coroutines APIs of WebFlux and Spring Data R2DBC (https://spring.io/projects/spring-data-r2dbc). We will also compare Reactive and Coroutines APIs (pros, cons) to help you to make an educated choice.
Event-Driven Microservices with Axon and Spring Boot: excitingly boring
by Allard Buijze, CTO & Founder AxonIQ
Microservices, and especially the Event-Driven variants of them are often associated with cool, hard-to-grasp, technologies. Instead of building what really matters to our business, we spend most of our time tweaking and integrating different technologies and frameworks. Spring Boot is famous for its autoconfiguration capabilities. Axon is known for its support for CQRS and Event Sourcing. What happens if you unleash the power of both onto your application?
Through live coding, we’ll see how it becomes trivial to build and scale an event-driven application.
So trivial, that it almost becomes boring….
Hope to meet you there!
