Writing Sprints: The Mask Slips

# Writing Sprints: The Mask Slips
It's the season of costumes, so let's write about the ones people never take off.
This month we're skipping the ghosts and going psychological. The threat isn't a stranger in the dark, but rather, someone your character already trusts. We'll do a quick warm up, then a timed writing sprint on the moment a familiar face turns unfamiliar, and then we'll flip to the other side of the mask. Maybe a third writing prompt depending on time.
Bring a notebook or laptop. All experience levels welcome; no one has to read aloud.
