Urban Socialization Walk - Old Town Antique Fair

Details

Read details carefully. High challenge pack walk.

We are going to keep the pack walk to 10 dogs for this upcoming walk. If you've been to Old Town Torrance then you know why. The side walks are narrow and all the mentioned stimuli are in close proximity. Also, we don't want to overstep our welcome or boundaries in places like this. Too large of a group and people may complain.

We will be walking through an Antique Fair in Old Town Torrance. There will be many pedestrians, other dogs, children, and stalls with all sorts of items for sale. It will be VERY narrow walking room. Lots of different types of stimuli for training. Please make sure to have high value treats and water for your pup.

The usual rules: - Only 1 dog per person is allowed. Handler must be over 18 years of age - Dogs must be on a 4'-6' leash at all times. Please no retractable leashes - This is a force free (least invasive, minimally aversive) group. Please no prong collars, choke collars, or e-collars. We recommend a martingale collar, front-clip harness, or head halter for heavy pullers. - If your dog has a bite history, please positively condition them to wear a muzzle to this meetup. We recommend the baskerville ultra muzzle as it allows them to pant, drink water, and take treats. - Your dog must be current on vaccinations and have an up-to-date license tag from your city - Due to the nature of this meetup, face to face introductions are not allowed. Always ask the dog owners before allowing your dogs to interact, and if in doubt, assume more space is always better. - Please be mindful of the space needs of our less social furry friends.
