Come join us for another night of learning and playing Shogi! These events are tailored towards players of all levels, beginners are highly encouraged to join our welcoming atmosphere. For those new to the game, Shogi (将棋 shogi), also known as Japanese chess or the Game of Generals, is a two-player strategy board game. Shogi means general's (sho 将) board game (gi 棋). Shogi was the earliest chess variant to allow captured pieces to be returned to the board by the capturing player. (Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shogi)
Our goal with these events is to provide beginners a friendly environment to learn the game and find other beginners, and hopefully provide seasoned players a venue to play find challenging opponents.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite shogi-ban and koma to show-and-tell! Don't worry if you don't have a board or koma of your own, we always bring extra material so everyone can play!

毎週火曜の夜に加えて，2024年5月から月に1回程度，週末に集まっており多くの方に集まっていただいております．今回の場所はCupertino市にあるCupertino図書館になります．
普段の火曜日夜の定例集会に参加できない方がいらっしゃいましたら，この機会にお立寄りいただき，どんな様子かご覧いただければ幸いです．
席料などは一切不要ですので，お気軽にお立寄りください．
