Welcome to South Bay Third Culture Kids (TCKs)!
Join us as we explore our area, seek out enriching cultural activities, and provide support for one another in the South Bay area. Whether you're a TCK, a parent to TCKs, or simply want to understand the TCK experience better, this group is a place to share, to make new friends, and to build a sense of community.
Our specific events will depend on member interests, but they may include simple hangouts over coffee, game sessions, outdoor activities, or learning opportunities connected to the TCK experience.
TCKs are individuals who spend a significant portion of their childhood living outside of their parents' culture and/or passport culture. Their experience of multiple countries and cultures during their formative years, combined with high mobility, leaves marks on them, both positive and negative: TCKs often describe themselves as flexible, adept at new languages, and adaptable to new people and situations, but they may also feel like perpetual outsiders or nomads. Third Culture Kids often experience their deepest sense of belonging with other TCKs.
