Session 1:
- Option 1: Little-known Features of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD That Will Save You Time, Brady Daniels - GoEngineer
We will be sharing some scarcely known features of SOLIDWORKS to improve speed and efficiency. These obscure shortcuts, settings, and modeling methods will help you get the job done faster. Be ready to share your favorites with everyone as well.
- Option 2: Creating Accurate Sheet Metal Flat Patterns, Marcus Brown - MLC-CAD
From understanding k-factor and bend allowances to figuring out what settings apply to your machine, we’ll cover all of the basics to connect SOLIDWORKS with your shop floor. Bring your questions or challenging parts, and we’ll explore some advanced flattening techniques if time allows.
Session 2:
- A Realistic Scan to CAD Workflow - Marcus Brown, MLC-CAD and Bret McElroy, Creaform
3D Scanning physical parts and converting them into feature-based CAD models often appears magical and automatic the first time you see it, but that’s because the workflow in between is often not clearly described or shown. Bret McElroy with Creaform and Marcus Brown with MLC CAD Systems are teaming up to show you a realistic workflow from a physical part to a 3D scan to a feature-based SOLIDWORKS model and can answer any questions you have about reverse engineering and scanning. If you have co-workers involved in reverse-engineering or part inspection, share this event invite with them! We’ll even share the files we used at the conclusion of the presentation.
We are excited to see you there!
