2025 New Bedford Summer Sound Series - June 20th is Pearly Baker Band (Grateful Dead Tribute) on bottom of Union Street (near PLAY Arcade)! This one is part of JawsJam, a Bigger Boat Block Party 50th anniversary celebration of Jaws!

"Join us for a jaw-dropping celebration as we kick off the 12th year of Summer Sound with a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the iconic film. Come dressed in your best themed costume and snap the perfect keepsake photo at our custom Jaws stand-in, handcrafted by local artist Jeremy Pereira, because no anniversary celebration is complete without a photo worth framing.

Sip on signature shark-themed drinks from participating downtown New Bedford bars and browse our outdoor market featuring Jaws-inspired and nautical art, pottery, jewelry, décor, wellness products, and more."

Summer Sound Series info: Every other Friday from 6:30-8:30 PM enjoy free concerts in the heart of downtown, with pre-show entertainment! Dance and enjoy beverages from local establishments during the concerts, as well as artists and local organizations who will be set up along the street.
If you cannot find nearby street parking, parking is available in the Elm Street Garage.
These block party-style events will alternate between Lower Union Street and Purchase Street all summer!
