I have participated in other Habitat for Humanity volunteer opportunities in the past and I walk away feeling like I learned SO MUCH and made an impact for someone else. It is a great opportunity to learn about house construction, tools usage and general building knowledge in a safe setting.

What to expect:
Each group member will need to register here: http://southdenvermeetup.denver.volunteerhub.com/. All participants must register online at least two weeks in advance, by Friday, February 16.
o All participants must register themselves. Registering online ensures that participants accept the waiver and receive information about the day, what to bring, and the location of the project.
o All participants must arrive on time. There is a mandatory orientation and safety briefing at the beginning of the day. If volunteers they miss this they will not be able to participate in the build day.

All of our projects are done with volunteers of all experience levels, from novice to master carpenter. Our construction supervisors will teach you what you need to know.

Details:

Please plan on showing up on time and staying for your entire shift. Split shifts are not allowed.
At the start of the day there will be a safety orientation; safety is very important to us and your presence at the Safety Orientation is mandatory. If you arrive after the safety orientation has begun, you will not be able to stay to volunteer.

What to Expect: This is an outdoor activity, Volunteers should be prepared with appropriate clothing to work outside for the entirety of the day, including sturdy, closed toed shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting dirty/paint on. We also highly recommend you bring your own gloves. Each volunteer date below will run from 8:50 am to 4:30 pm and will include a 45-minute lunch break
