## About the Workshop
You may love performing, but do you know how the acting and modeling business works?
Step One is a practical introduction to the business side of the entertainment industry. No performance experience is needed. Bring your questions and learn in a safe, supportive environment.
## What We’ll Cover
- How to create an acting or modeling résumé, even if you have no credits yet
- What belongs on your résumé and what to leave off
- Headshots, photographers, and reprints
- Your online presence and self-taping basics
- How to look for an agent and understand union and nonunion representation
- Casting calls and audition preparation
- Direct bookings versus jobs booked through an agent
- How to follow your payment after you book a job
- How to recognize misleading offers and industry scams
You’ll receive a packet with sample résumés and industry resources, including photographer and agency information. Résumé writing services are available for an additional fee.
### Guest Professional: 2:30–3:00 p.m.
To Be Determined. The guest may be an agent, photographer, or casting director. Guest details will be announced when confirmed.
## 2027 Workshop Fee
Early Registration: $90
To receive this price, full payment must be received at least 14 days before the workshop—by February 20, 2027.
Regular Fee: $100
The regular fee applies after February 20, 2027, including payment at the door if space is available.
Your seat is reserved when your payment is received.
