Free Town of Davie Garden Workshop: Orchids for Beginners!

Join us Saturday, December 14th at 9am as we welcome esteemed orchid expert Carol Holdren to Robbins Preserve to teach our 2nd Town of Davie Garden Workshop of the season! Carol is an American Orchid Society Orchid Judge, co-founder of www.orchids.org, and Board Member of Flamingo Gardens Botanical Garden and Wildlife Sanctuary. Carol was instrumental in forming the Orchidteers, an active volunteer group at Flamingo Gardens responsible for placing over 5000 orchids on trees throughout the gardens! She will be teaching us the basics on orchids so that we can all become more confident. Come with questions!

As always, we will be raffling off prizes at the end of the 1-hour class, and the first 50 attendees are guaranteed to take home a plant- this week we have sugar snap peas, Everglades tomatoes, gomphrena, and a variety of tropical spinaches you can grow year-round! Remember that benches are limited in the garden, but there's plenty of room to stand in the shade of our oak. You're also welcome to bring your favorite folding chair.
