(new) Hope Garden - meet at Tree Amigos first!

Details

The Hope Garden (formerly at Marando Farms) moved to West Davie! We are in process of building a berms-and-swales system, and recently did our first planting (lettuces, radishes, arugula, etc.).

Tomorrow (Wednesday December 18, 10 a.m.), we are meeting up at Tree Amigos to buy some of their super-duper soil, load up on mulch, and possibly buy some seedlings for our second berm... then head to our new space to add those components. [Since the garden is now on private property, near Western High School, please text me for the address of the new location; Susan at 954-478-8637]

Thanks in advance for your help!

P.S. Obviously we will be taking a break the following two Wednesdays (December 25 and January 1). Possibly a workday on Monday, December 23. Will keep you all posted!

Well, John Lennon was right. "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans" indeed.

For a variety of reasons, we've been looking for a change of scenery, so our Hope Garden is relocating. Crazy, but exciting! We have a good feeling about all of this. Volunteers, thanks for your never-ending patience, support, and help. Our mission remains the same: grow/harvest/donate to food pantries... :-)

Come join us in the food bank garden!

You will learn gardening skills, you will meet amazing people of all ages/skill level, and you will be helping provide fresh produce to 2 local food pantries. Students: Great opportunity for community service hours... :-)

We meet every Wednesday morning. Wear close-toed shoes, sun protection, and bring water!

You can always contact us through meetup, Instagram, or Facebook.
