Presentation Title:
What You Don’t Know Will Cost You: Modern Active Directory Attack Paths and
Toxic Combinations
Abstract:
Active Directory is still the control system for most enterprises, and modern
compromises rarely depend on zeroday exploits or obvious misconfigurations. They
succeed when attackers chain together legitimate permissions, delegated trust, and
identity decisions that were never revisited.
In this session, Craig Birch walks through how identity attack paths form and why toxic
combinations are so difficult to spot when teams review issues in isolation. The talk
includes a live attack scenario that follows an endtoend identity compromise from
initial access to credential materialization and persistence, using only authorized
behavior and existing trust paths.
After the meeting (Around 8 PM), we’ll keep the energy going with networking at the Tiki Hut overlooking the beach.
Note: This meeting is on a paid training day, not on the main day of talks.
