Join us for SFISSA for a meeting at FAU Boca Raton Room OD101 in Building 93 (Office Depot Complex)

Speaker: Alex Chambers
Speaker Bio: Alex is a cybersecurity leader with expertise aligning security priorities and frameworks to real business outcomes. He's solved these challenges for clients at Kaseya and Egnyte, with partners including NASA Huntsville and Aegis Sciences Corporation.
On the technical side, Alex brings hands-on offensive security experience that shapes how he thinks about defense and compliance. He's also a sales engineering leader with a track record of building teams and systems that produce and perform even when the path forward isn't clear.
Outside of work, Alex is an avid scuba diver, musician, reader, and board gamer.

Talk Title: Resilience by Design: Architecting Containment for AI-Speed Attacks
Abstract: Modern adversarial campaigns increasingly use automation and machine learning to accelerate vulnerability discovery, stress-test attack paths, and adapt tactics at machine speed. Static perimeter architectures and prevention-centric controls are structurally mismatched to this reality.
This session examines how microsegmentation and adaptive containment architectures can reduce attacker advantage by slowing propagation, shrinking blast radius, and turning dwell time into detection opportunity. We will explore how real-time telemetry, policy automation, and enforcement validation can support dynamic segmentation across workloads, endpoints, legacy systems, cloud environments, IoT, and OT.
Key topics include lateral path enumeration, critical asset isolation, identity-driven visibility, and the operational challenges of enforcing segmentation at scale across healthcare, manufacturing, maritime, hospitality, and critical infrastructure environments.
The central engineering question is not whether a breach occurs, but whether critical systems remain operational through one. Resilience must be architected into the fabric of the enterprise, not bolted on after the fact.
Attendees will learn why breach readiness and rapid containment are becoming essential to cyber resilience, common pitfalls in segmentation initiatives, and practical approaches for implementing segmentation without creating significant operational disruption.

Speaker 2: Marcos Hanono
Speaker 2 Bio: Sophomore in college, the vice president of the Cybersecurity Club, and actively learning about various cybersecurity topics my current favorite being digital forensics.
Talk Title 2: Building the Foundation: How We Established a Student Cyber Community
Abstract 2: How we have increased outreach to gain Cybersecurity Club members, used our increased numbers to improve our personal cyber skills, and helped people into the folds of cybersecurity

=============

After the meeting (Around 8 PM), we’ll keep the energy going with networking at a local hotspot!

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the action.
