Talk Summary: A significant increase in cyber attacks due to vulnerabilities within the supply chain has led to a heightened awareness of the security of supply chains and creating a software bill of materials (SBOM) is gaining traction as a good initial step. A SBOM is essentially the “ingredient list” that goes into the making of the software. In this talk, we will discuss:

• What is an SBOM
• The elements that make up an SBOM
• The problems that can be solved by an SBOM
