The Pinball Asylum in Ft Myers is holding 10th Annual Pingolf Tournament.

What is Pin-Golf Format?
This is a more casual format where you get a score card and play at your own pace with 2-3 other players across 18 different machines. Each machine has its own minimum score or a particular objective (like start a multiball or get X). You want to achieve the posted objective in as few balls as possible with 1 being the minimum (hence a "hole in one") and 10 being the maximum. After all 18 machines are played, your score is tallied and you of course want the lowest possible (18 which is 1 ball to achieve every machine's objective - don't worry, no one is that good so it's significantly higher. Finals consists of the 16 players who have the lowest totals.

When To Show Up?
What's great about this format is the flexibility of when you can show up. While the dates posted are Friday Feb 27 and Sat Feb 28, you can play either day or both, and if you can get through all the machines quickly enough, you can play more than 1 "card" (group of 18 machines). Some people just play 1 card, others play more than one in an attempt to improve their previous card's score to better their chances of making the finals.

Advancing to Finals
At the end of the last group’s round, the lowest scores will be calculated. The top 16 players will go to finals.

Final Rounds
Half the field of players will be divided into groups not exceeding 4 players. Each group will play three separate games, each game on a different machine from among those available in the tournament.
In the case of 8 players:
Group A – #1, #8, #3, #6 seeds
Group B – #2, #7, #4, #5 seeds

In the case of 16 players, further groups:
Group C – #9, #16, #11, #14 seeds
Group D – #10, #12, #13, #15 seeds

Each four-player game will be played and scored using the same Pin-Golf scoring used in the qualifying rounds. A minimum score per finals round is 3 strokes, and a maximum score per finals round is 30 strokes.
The group that contains the highest-seeded player gets first choice of machine and order of play. The highest-seeded player within each group may choose either the machine to be played, or the order of play. If the highest-seeded player chooses order of play, the remaining players may choose their order, in descending order of seeding, and choice of machine then goes to the next highest-seeded player in the group. Conversely, if the highest-seeded player chooses the machine to be played, then the next highest-seeded player chooses the order of play, with the remaining players choosing order of play in decreasing order of seeding. Once a player verbally announces their game choice, or chooses position, that decision cannot be changed.

How Much:
$50.
