Travelling to Italy tips and secret places to visit

Our next meetup is coming up and will be a fun one. We will talk about traveling to Italy and getting the most out of a visit for a real authentic experience. For those of you have been to Italy a few times (or never) we will talk about the "dos and donts" when traveling, the preparation you should have, a few local customs that you should know that are not explained to you in advance, and how a little bit of patience and "filosofia" can allow for a great time. For those Italy veterans (and everyone else!), we will also cover some of the hidden gems of Italy that are rarely on a tour but that should be. We will introduce you to the castle of Frederick II in Castel del Monte that was meant to house the Holy Grail (in Puglia), the medieval hilltop town of Caserta Vecchia in Campania, the famous vineyards of the medieval emperor Barbarossa set by an old Roman villa near Cesena, and more!

Lets talk about Italy and have fun. The language of discussion for the topics will be in English but speaking Italian among members is encouraged!
