About us
Welcome to Samadhi! We aim to introduce people to meditation and mindfulness, and to help them integrate these practices into their daily life. Everyone is welcome to join our sessions!
We engage in various meditations from the Buddhist and other contemplative traditions. Drawing on the practical experience of meditation, psychology, and Buddhist wisdom, we look at insights, teachings and new ways of thinking which help us unwind, relax, let go of things like stress and anxiety, and cultivate positive minds such as patience, compassion, and equanimity.
With a regular meditation practice, you will gain greater and greater peace of mind and discover a more positive approach to life, as well as improved levels of emotional and mental health. Meditation has numerous benefits for the health of both your body and mind, is easy to do, and something everyone can learn.

Yoga with Manu (Slow Vinyasa Flow)
·OnlineOnlineThis March, Manu will be offering two types of yoga classes: his usual Slow Flow and a new option, Restful Flow. Restful Flow is a softer, floor-based approach for those who would like a more restorative, gentle class.

Slow Flow: March 2nd & March 16th
Recommended Materials: A yoga mat and two blocks.Slow Flow is a calm, breath-led vinyasa with options. Slow, steady sequences to build strength and mobility without strain, with a restful finish. Come as you are; beginners are very welcome.
We’ll start with some breathing exercises and a warm-up to relax the mind and prepare the body. Following that will be a series of smooth and easy asanas (poses). We’ll finish up with some stretches and a meditation.
Restful Flow: March 9th & March 23rd
Recommended Materials: A yoga mat, a block and a cushion/bolster.Restful Flow offers a slower, softer approach to movement, guiding you through a predominantly floor-based sequence that calms the nervous system and gently releases tension. With minimal standing postures and unhurried transitions, the emphasis is on steady breath, mindful awareness, and creating space in both body and mind.
Suitable for beginners, those recovering from injury, or anyone who feels the need to slow down and reset, this class invites you to move with ease and leave feeling grounded, restored and quietly refreshed.
Why join a vinyasa yoga class with Manu?
Practising vinyasa yoga increases flexibility and mobility while building muscle mass and strength, supporting overall body health. This dynamic practice helps burn fat, reduces stress on the joints and tissues to prevent injuries, and calms the mind by alleviating anxiety and mental fatigue. The spiritual benefits of vinyasa yoga promote self-awareness and mindfulness, allowing for a deeper connection to oneself and the present moment. This class will help you cultivate greater calmness, clarity, and deep relaxation, supporting both your physical and mental wellbeing.

Introduction to Vajrayana, Mahamudra & Dzogchen
·OnlineOnlineThis Module is part of The Buddha’s Path (our foundational study programme).
In our study programme so far, we have explored the foundational aspects of Buddhism: the four noble truths, dependent origination, karma, shamatha and vipashyana, the bodhisattva path including the three higher trainings, the six perfections, lojong, emptiness and Buddha nature.
Our next short course is designed to explore the natural next question:
What are Vajrayana, Mahamudra, and Dzogchen – and where do they fit in the context of practice? In Tibetan Buddhism, Vajrayana (often called Tantric or Mantrayāna Buddhism) is known for practices involving mantra, ritual, and deity meditation. It is presented as a set of methods that build on the Mahayana foundations of compassion and wisdom, and emphasises the concepts of emptiness and Buddha-nature.
Within Tibetan Buddhism, you’ll also find the approaches of Mahamudra and Dzogchen – traditions that emphasise a kind of direct, unelaborated path to recognising the actual nature of mind and the realisation of our innate luminous awareness, Buddha nature. This short, three-week series is designed to provide an introduction to these three – Vajrayana, Mahamudra, and Dzogchen – clarifying doubts and laying a foundation for further exploration. We’ll focus on the essence of these systems of practice, how these teachings relate to suffering and freedom, and how strong foundations in ethics, compassion, shamatha, and emptiness make these practices meaningful.
Who it’s for
- People who’ve been following our study programme or are familiar with the foundations of Buddhist practice.
- Those curious about Tibetan Buddhism who want a practical introduction to these more advanced practices.
What this course is / isn’t
- ✅ An overview + introduction to view, practice, and common misunderstandings.
- ✅ Guided meditations that provide a taste of these approaches.
- ✅ Space for Q&A and discussion
- ❌ Not a Vajrayana empowerment or an initiation into tantric commitments.
- ❌ Not a replacement for receiving advanced training from a qualified lineage teacher.
